I was able to repair the faucet, but the kit seems really expensive. I just needed the rubber washer at the end of the shaft and the packing by the handle. It was necessary to destroy the packing to remove it because it was not the new rubber style. It would be nice if they had a less expensive kit containing just the rubber parts. My handle and the other metal parts were still good. It is possible to order the individual parts but with shipping it ends up costing about half the price of the full kit for just 3 rubber parts. The biggest problem I had was deciding which way the conical rubber washer is to be installed since the old one was smashed completely flat. I installed it with the conical side facing the seat. The faucet works and hopefully won't need to be repaired again for many years.

Water to float the washer helps.

Replacement parts direct from Woodford and no issues installing but wish the diagram on the package was a little larger. On getting the anti-siphon washer to line up with the hole in the clear plastic screw on cap, it helps to have water in the top of the spigot to float the washer to the top and assist with lining up the top peg on the washer to the hole in screw on cap. Probably would not have needed to replace the whole works if I had made sure to drain the faucet before winter, but I had a s...

Complete kit. No problems.
Reviewed on www.lowes.com·grouchomx3
Product was fine. The floater is a little hard to keep upright. I put it in the holder and put a small piece of painters tape on top to keep it from falling out. I couldn't replace the valve since it wouldn't come out, but my problem was a leak form the top of the faucet so I just replaced that part. I also found out the faucet handle was broken so I'm glad there was a replacement. In short, it is a complete kit. You'll need to go to Youtube for some good instructions.

A very complete rebuild kit
Reviewed on www.lowes.com·MikeS13905
This kit contained literally everything except the stem itself. Mom's vacuum breaker leaked when the water was on and the faucet was in her garage. Takes half an hour or so to rebuild the stem components and replace the vacuum breaker. Tip - replace the vacuum breaker while the stem is still out. Use a piece of soft wire or something similar inserted from the front to keep the little "stopper" centered while you screw on the retaining ring.

Easy to install and worked perfectly. The handle is plastic and worked fine, but I used the original metal handle. Hardest part of the job was removing the old handle Fromm 1960. It is one screw but it was stuck. If the screw doesn’t loosen easily Make sure to spray it with WD-40 and let sit for an hour. Make sure you have a good screw driver so you don’t strip the screw!

Fixed my leaky silcock
Reviewed on www.lowes.com·Okra
The valve kit is expensive for what it is. A collection of screws, washers, gaskets, and a knob. But necessary to stop leaks. Make sure you get a kit with all the parts. I ordered the kit online for store pickup. The kit Lowes gave me was missing half the parts. I swapped it out upon pick up. Not a huge problem, just watch for a kit where someone has "borrowed" some parts.

One of my Woodford Model 14 faucets has been leaking for a while, so I decided to get the repair kit to stop the leak. The repair was easy to do, especially after watching the video on Woodford's site. I have 2 of these faucets in my garage that are at least 30 years old, so I bought 2 kits. The metal handles are a nice upgrade from the plastic ones I had.

This kit is pretty complete and all parts seem to be exactly like original ones. I would have given this 5 stars if the handle were metal as the title would indicate but it’s plastic just like the original. Installation was pretty easy...only difficulty I experienced was the old packing had to be dug out with a sharp tool. Faucet now works like new.

Made for an easy replacement of a Woodford brand exterior frost free hose bib handle that had broken, and the screw appears to be brass so it won't rust. Be aware that the opening for the faucet stem is smaller than other brands and may not work.

The kit looks very complete and of good quality. Unfortunately, the issue wasn't in the replaceable kit components, but the rod came disconnected from the inner seal so I can't use the kit. I'll just keep it as a spare and buy a whole new valve.
