The 21st annual Lompoc Parks and Recreation Division's and Kiwanis Golf Tournament returned to the Mission Club Golf Course on Friday, April 17.

Tommy Fleetwood returns to PGA Tour action this week, looking to bounce back from late disappointment at The Masters. Fleetwood found himself in contention heading into the final round at Augusta, before a four-over 76 completely dashed his dreams of a maiden major championship win.

The tournament, which runs Monday, April 13 through Sunday, April 19, is Hilton Head’s biggest golf event of the year.

Halfway through the Heritage golf course, Rick and Pat Washnock have found their place as volunteers at the ninth hole.

In order to continue their services, they rely heavily on public donations. Their next fundraiser is the 11th annual golf tournament Friday, May 8 at Toiyabe Golf Club (19 Lightning W Ranch Road, New Washoe City). Registration begins at 7 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m., then an awards lunch at 2 p.m.
