Start a video call With Google Messages, you can continue a conversation on a video call when certain conditions are met. You can start a video call through carrier-provided video calling (ViLTE or VoLTE) or the Google Meet app. By default, if both of you have ViLTE or VoLTE, the call is placed through carrier-provided video calling.
